Tamdown have been appointed as the design and build contractor for the shell and core construction with responsibility as Principal Contractor.

The development consists of six blocks of 6 storey apartments with undercroft parking constructed in traditional reinforced concrete frame to a Type B and C finish.

Full design liaison was required with the consultant team and client, this included the clearance of planning conditions for external materials.

The building is clad using an Alucabond rain screen system on a lightweight metal framework and external glazing is provided by aluminium windows and curtain walling. The balconies are screened by glass to provide optimum views of the adjacent River Wensum.

The reinforced concrete roof has a brown roof applied with low level planting and the scheme will be completed by extensive planting areas formed within gabion walling providing a flood defence.
