SITE: Hatfield Aerodrome, Hatfield, Hertfordshire.

 

Tamdown were appointed by both Taylor Woodrow Developments and Bovis Homes for this multi-phase development of approximately 1000 units, featuring a mix of both private and social dwellings. Situated on the former British Aerospace aerodrome, this development also provides extensive leisure and sports facilities, as well as a school.

Commencing with a major re-grading of the ground following an archeological survey, Tamdown completed all infrastructure roads, footpaths and cycle ways, as well as installing all estate roads. Tamdown completed the groundworks on over 350 units comprising a variety of properties such as flats and a crescent shaped block.

In addition we were responsible for carrying out the construction of reinforced concrete underground car parks to the flats and the construction of public open spaces, a village green and play areas.
