As part of our significant works package on this housing development project, which included road and drainage construction, foundations and 278 works, we installed a foul water attenuation system.

The system incorporated 4m x 2m concrete box culvert sections over a length of 55 metres. Each section weighed 11 tonnes and was craned into place and then winched into position.

Due to site constraints and soil conditions the opted method of installation was via the use of sheet piling incorporating hydraulic frames. This phase was completed in three weeks ahead of programme and within budget.
